No, why. Shrine economy is global to Japan, by your logic, any unit should benefit from it. Ashigarus aren't a super high-priced unit which you cannot mass unless you have a monster eco.

Samurais are costly and slow, and no, Ashigarus are not the only unit worth to mass for Japan, don't forget about the Yumi bow! Both Yumi Bows and Ashigarus are amazing units, with different roles and strengths & weaknesses. Did you forget about the Yumi (Semi)FI? Japan can even play without Ash...

Why? This just looks like overtuning the strengths of the units. Tomahawks are no pikes, Oprichniks obliterate buildings already. Ram and Yabusame changes look more "normal" to me.

What's up everyone, been a few years I've been keeping an eye on the happenings in the AoE series but been mostly playin Fortnite on PS4 and occasionally on PC (still learning). Definitely get back on steam, it's the ultimate way to connect with people. I think even on the PS4 you can connect to it, just to chitchat.
AoE4 will be out sometimes in the near future, aoe 1 just got remade, albeit with dozens of problems, aoe2 and aoe3 will follow.
