Tried a variation of this and won me a few games, but man is SCII faster than AOE3. With no TC to garrison in, if you get caught with no military your toast.

Damn, just getting into it as well.

Just got back in England, managed to dodge the ash, but it Al was still in Limbo when I left not sure if hes gonna make it.

Wow, that is impressive. Your boys got skillz! If hes already mastered flat pack furniture (something most adults struggle with) how long before hes whooping us at aoe3?

Ok played 1 game and didn't have a clue what was going on. I played it a bit like aoe3 and spammed those worker dudes but wasn't till halfway into the game I realized there was a second resource to gather. I'm such a noob at this.

Well I never played the original Starcraft, but I guess I have gotten caught up in the excitement of you guys and after reading up on it and watching some vids, I am very much looking forward to the release. i just wish I could find a pre-order site in the UK that gives away free betas.

Yeah I have made money reselling stuff from the auction house but I just cba with it. Atm I don't even find time to get my dailies done. I lvled mining and blacksmithing so all the potential gold I could have made from selling ores was wasted on my blacksmithing skill, a very expensive skill to lvl....

Yeah hitting your first lvl 80 takes a long time and can get very repetitive. For me trying to match my RL buddy in lvling helped me maintain interest to about lvl 55 without getting bored, by that time though my interest fell a bit but I found Outland refreshed my interest as did WotLK expansion. I always find re-installation issues stem from previously installed files remaining on your PC after un-installation. You could always try uninstalling the game completely and then hunting down any left over AOE3 files and deleting them manually. Though you may wanna try googling your problem before...
