AOE3 - Just 16 Cards tourney - anyone interested?

Hey all,

I thought of a funny idea. I wondered if, on TAD, anyone would be willing to join a 16-card tourney, that is, you play a civilization in TAD with just 16 cards, preferably 4 for each age (4 Discovery Age shipments, 4 Colonial Age shipments, 4 Fortress Age shipments, 4 Industrial Age Shipments).

Sounds fun guys. I'm not posting any dates or things atm, but its easier just to meet online and try something like it for fun. Sure adds an element of strategy into the game, lol.

actually, i think using NO CARDS is more fun than limiting to 16. you mostly use the same cards anyway, so it won't change much, except for longer games

Yeah or you'd have to severely limit the choice of cards you have. Would be fun to make the tourney kinda like the FFA's we played, but then 1v1 (since its easier to arrange). Wasn't there something like that like 3 years ago ?

could say 1 week to play the set game or best of 3 ?
each round has custom rules
each player play each other once
then top 4 then have a knock out ?

And the winner can have a cookie

yeah I think I do... its so long ago and I only heard about it once back then. I liked it and we could kinda attract other people from out of the clan (if we'd want to) with it.

Most folks from my experience have time to play about two supremacy games, or one FFA game, or one NR game at a time. Thus it might not be attractive as a tournament, but rather hosting a game, "2v2 just 16 cards" would be intriguing.

Anyways, I won't have time for the next weeks to play AOE3; I'm on a break from gaming as to say , to work on school.
