Re: OPENED REGIONS!!
old news. it's **** stupid that it's only for people from sea / az, though. "we realize these players have a lot of friends from WoW in different regions."
well, what about all the people from america with friends from europe?
typical blizzard, it has to be something WoW related for them to make a significant policy change.
they tried to claim that the reason the regions are locked is that they don't have the technology to make cross-region play seamless enough. clearly that's not true, since they're offering it to certain kinds of players for free.
it's all just a money-grubbing scheme. force people to pay extra for things they should (and used to) get for free.

Well, what about testing a feature they implemented now which wasn't planned? The SEA folks are much lower on numbers, so if here bugs arise a much less significant number of players are affected
Just look at the sizes in ladder. sc2ranks.com has around 3700 players for SEA and 367600 players for Europe.

Well they make a policy change, they announced so. This is the first testing step as stated above IMO

Of course they don't have the technology or Battle.Net isn't made for that.
There are for sure various reasons that they decided to do it how it is now. One of the main reasons are for sure load issues and lag issues.
U just get an account on another server and they implemented a feature in SC2 to select the server u wanna play on. This account has no achievements or ur other stats. U can use it to smurf or play with friends

umm no, it is 81,088 for SEA and 486,381 for Europe.
don't forget it only counts the people who have finished their placement matches in any legue (1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4). good thing is that list doesn't count people twice =) and i think the sc2ranks site didn't even cover all ladder people yet
about the reason why they didn't get crossrealm play: it was the payment options. nobody said they don't have the technology for it. they want to create a better experience so they because off of that.
