SCII on Low Graphics
SCII looks so different on "Low" graphics! I'm normally on "Ultra".
Anyone else notice this?

Of course, i can even run SC2 on my notebook with a 4500MHD onboard graphics, though i think only 1v1 is viable.
The graphics is ugly but pros use it alot and i can understand when i play with that, because everything is more clearly arranged and i have always the feeling that i have a clearer view on the game though the better gaphics is more impressive and shiny

Re: SCII on Low Graphics
I have to admit that when I first went from low to ultra full HD settings, I did loose the first 2 or 3 games because I was zooming in and out looking at all the detail and going "ooh thats pretty." I think having it on ultra seetings softens the blow when you loose your entire army to bannelings, because at least you can say it looked kick ass.
Re: SCII on Low Graphics
I play on low so i get the best framerate, but if my computer could support medium/high with the same FPS i would put it on that. for me, FPS is more important than looks. although on low the forcefields do look slightly less visible which is one downside...

This is really true... you can easily miss that a forcefield has been placed because they are nearly invisible oO this sucks on low graphics..

When the latest patch came, I checked the graphics settings, and it had automatically adjusted them to the extreme (or whatever it is called) settings (although I think there are only a few that are extreme, the rest are just ultra). Cool....

If I were to spend $$ on a new computer, I'd want to a) build it myself and b) build it to be solid for the long run, not just adequate for now. That'd run me at least $1000 probably, maybe a couple hundred more, plus shipping and handling etc. I've looked into it before.
Anyways, I'm a poor college student, so even $500 is well out of my range.
