I'd volunteer but I don't feel too comfortable with vista and I already have some issues to fix here :(

I have Vista 64 and had the hardest time installing the game. Even after installation, I continued to have problems because, when I needed to reboot the game, my computer wouldn't recognize the disc. I read on-line that you go to explorer, right-click on the application, and open as administrator. But, if my dvd drive doesn't recognize the disc, I can't open as administrator in Explorer. Yesterday, I rebooted and was having this problem again and just couldn't overcome it.

So, I ended up troubleshooting for at least an hour and eventually clicked "Start" and noticed that Age of Empires was listed in, I guess it's the recently played list? So, I right clicked on that and saw the "open as admin" option. Clicked on that and it started right up. I pinned Age of Empires to the permanent list directly above the recently played list.

Hope that helps someone because I was thinking my dvd drive was bad. I'm not so sure anymore.

If you're able to help with testing this please send an email to mnbob70@gmail.com. I'll use email to coordinate the testing. Thanks.

Ok for me the patch works on both admin and nonadmin accounts without having to run as admin but there is 1 problem. It does not give me the option of running the fan patch only the ESO one

Cool. I googled for a solution but I had no way to test so I didn't even know if I had done it correctly. :)

Sorry, I tried to explain that in the email. The download didn't include the fan patch that's why I said to make a backup copy of your Fan Patches folder.

EDIT: But otherwise, great news!
