Custom Taunts

Hi guys. I remember talking to Lazy, Jim and Roger about recording some new custom taunts. Basically, my creative juices are flowing and I want to record some! But I just have no idea where to start from a technical point of view. Could someone come up with an uber-tech-noob protocol for me to follow on how to do this? Is there a certain mic or program I should use to record so as to minimize ambient noise, etc?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Just to give you an idea about what I'm thinking, when you raid someone, you can do Taunt 122 (me doing the British explorer saying: "YOU are sore aggrieved, and may not steerer! )

With this program u can record, cut and filter, uber micro isn't needed, since no one has uber spreaker

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I don't know if it can convert wav to mp3, but that's quite easy
Just try around with the program, later we can show u how to convert them with "lame" to mp3

My friend found somewhere on google something that converted youtube videos to mp3 files. He then went taunt happy so far I only like 1 of his taunts where it plays the brave sir robin song from montypython and the holy grail

Ok found an easy youtube -> MP3 converter. Though it is not very fast it does a good job. Heres the link
