well, if any of you get another of those invites consider me otherwise i won't be playing sc2 until june, july or maybe august (when the game comes out)

they said that they will say when the game finally comes out in a couple of weeks time (so i guess until early may we will know when the game will be released)
i'm positive about mid june ;-)

how do u apply? u just set ur system settings in ur battle net acct and then wait?

You also need a CD-Key from a previous Blizzard game that you own.

It's unlikely that you'll get in unless you have a newer computer. Heck, it's pretty unlikely that you'll get in anyway.

they don't look for ppl with "new" hardware olny, they want ppl with as much diverse hardware as possible. old, middle, new, highend everything
i heard that ppl with an S3 graphic card(very rare and crap card) were chosen so they can have feedback of this, ppl who got a hd4850 or 5850(very common gpu) have less chances.
they just maje sure the hardware you got is able to run the game at least at minimum, tehre is no point in giving an invite key to someone with a Pentium 3 1 GHz from 2001

Actually, like was mentioned by aaryn, you can have a pretty crappy computer and get in. They want to look for bugs/errors/gameplay/feedback on the largest variety of machines as is possible.

or just an unusual configuration

I have Windows 7 64-bit with 8 GB RAM and a quadcore AMD Processor+ Nvidia 8800GTS.

So graphics e.g. isn't really brand new at my comp
