N3O Age Of Empires and Starcraft 2 Clan

well what do you think, from best to worst, on RE?
Since it's somewhat easier to do it in groups I suppose we could better to it in groups. I was thinking about this :

OP: Iro, India, Japan
High Tier: Aztec, British, French
middle Tier: Otto, Russia, German, China
Low tier: Dutch, Sioux
UP: Ports, Spain

So any thoughts?

Well the Ports are, in my opinion, especially on the fan patch, not underpowered I think the big variaty of units they can make in the 2nd age and the 2nd towncenter you can make, makes them pretty good.

Ye I know you said that, but I just wrote that aswell because on the fan patch some civs are still a bit better than the others.

Well this depends are you talking team or 1v1?
for 1v1 i would put it as
OP:jap, iro, india
High:aztec (real close to op), french, brits, germans (slightly lower but still better than the middle)
Middle:russia and china
Lower: ottos, spain, and dutch
UP: ports, sioux(lack of infantry till age 3)

For team it is drastically different.
OP: ottos (abus are rediculous), sioux (br enough said), japs, india, Aztecs (with water), (german and french on same team)
High:aztecs (without water), iros, french, brits, germans
middle:port, russia, china(then op once in 4th age), dutch
low:spain
Up: arnt really any underpowered civs in team due to team cards and unique civ bonuses its fairly even

talking about 1v1, bodet's list seems about right, i wouldn't place russia or china so low though.
plus you can't really rate otto, ports or sioux. they are extremely good in several fields and also completely weak on others, so their usefulness goes from UP to nearly OP depending on maps/civs they're facing :-P

Well 1v1 would be good for me, since team is so completely different.

I thought sioux were good in re, because they have lame BR+AR combo

sioux are definitely not weak on RE, also you underestimate china/otto. I wouldnt place france so high, they only became good because the rest of the civs received hard nerfs

More or less:

Tier 1:
India/Iro

Tier 2:
Japan/Otto/China/French/Sioux/Aztec

Tier 3: Russia/German/Brit/Dutch

Tier 4:
Spain/Port

Some civs in tier 2 can compete with tier 1 and there are many MUs that are just completely unwinnable i.e. Spain vs Jap.

Yep, I tried playing some spain vs players that are 4/5 PR below me, to even up things and I really got my *** kicked, dint do anything wrong really but Japan just ownend me, and so did aztec.

India and Iro are most OP

And I agree with Zuta, but in capable hands a tier 2/3 civ can compete.
I play a lot of Otto and they do good vs non op civs.
But they just do horrible vs India and Iro.

i'd say otto if lamed correctly can compete with most civs

Also some civs are much better on lower levels, like Dutch or British.
Since worse people tend to sit back and mass way to much, giving Brits or Dutch time to max boom

And it does kind of depends on the Mu too

it's the other way around^^ noobs only rush and only skileld players can handle dutch well
