Have you tried port forwarding yet ? I have at least a few tricks up my sleave to fix it.

it's true, if your latency is a bit high or unstable, you will have a hard time connecting, even if everything else is perfectly fine (settings, portforwarding)
that's because ES never fixed the issue, they just renoved the "do not show games that i cannot join". Now you'll always see the game, but not always be able to join

I still play comp games from time to time.  And then log on but find nobody.  Still love the game.  Played some rated in last few months and, as we all know, it's quite different from playing the comp.  But I get a win now and then and crack a smile if it's same level as me.

Yeah I did all the port forwarding but to be honest I think Sporting is right I only started having issues when I went to wireless Internet but next month hopefully I'll be going back to Wired connection so will try again then

The dreaded "failed to join" message is what made me stop playing this fantastic game.

Don't know if anyone remembers me....? It has been like a good 3-4 years since I last played AOE3 and I have just found my disc again, and with the summer months approaching I have a bit more free time then normal.

How's the clan doing anyway? In fact how is AOE3 looking these days? Not dead yet I hope 

Some steam sales kept it alive. STill has about 1500 online players at any moment in time. Not too many N3O'ers playing it though.

i started playing AOE3 last week & I like it very much! Especially playing 3v3! So if there are any clan members interested: I'll be playing monday!
