this would mean that things like 1080p would be in the official game instead of having to use custom made tools.

Seems to be quite valid cause a "steam test application" in STeam DB has AOE2 achievements

I wonder if they will include multilayer...
Maybe this something to do with AOEO not having any more content being made ?

Well doing this might mean that they want to regain some active aoe players for when they release their new AOE (this is just wishful thinking by me probably, but w/e

The pricing is a bit greedy considering the minimal changes. A good lobby could make it work.

Yah, it just feels like they want to feast on the active players. Kinda lame, but that's what microsoft does.

I don't really think so that it is greedy. Games are on Steam in general "expensive" all the time. But steam has often sales. So u should be able to get it on summer sale for 5-10 €. U can even get then AOE with all expansions for 10€
