It has fewer problems as it seems that they changed the network coding. I can connect with Murdilator on aoe2hd but not on ESO.

I dont know my steam name although it should either be henriquefietz or lazy_tuga since everything else, gaming wise, uses one of these names.

AoEII 8 years later.....

I played a bit this weekend and have to say that my initial impression was "wow, this game is soooooo ssssssslllllllllooooooowwwwwwww. After that I just felt meh. Graphics are truly outdated, game mechanics are very off and I have no idea about build orders and the likes.

Overall, however, I enjoyed the nostalgia the game brought back. The online community seemed nice.....ish and I shall certainly make my return to AoEII later after work.
