I agree with Rhys. Music without lyrics is all well and good, but adding lyrics, and not just any lyrics, can really enhance the song. Some songs can give you goosebumps just by how well thought out the lyrics are.
However, nothing beats a nice long guitar solo on a rock song.

a perfect example Nickleback - Just to get high, very good music setting the pace, great vocals to set the mood, powerful lyrics to convey the story and then a face melting solo to blow you away, that is a well thought out song in my opinion

i think they all sound different sure enough chad kruegers voice pretty much stays constant but hey
