Also, there are no more identifiers, so people will have to re-post in the name database thread with their account-associated e-mail address.

this is really really bad.. what if i want to add sc2 contacts and not by my e-mail adress?
bad move by blizzard, none of my rl friends play online games much let alone sc2.
why the heck can't i add someone just ingame?
U can add freinds only via Facebook or email address.
This whole "You can stay anonymous if u want by using the identifier" is just crap now as it seems because now u have to use the social network even if u don't want to.
This will lead to many second battle.net Accounts with an email address only for SC2 reasons.
If it stays like this, i think i won't buy SC2
good news, it won't stay like this :-P
it's just for the time being cuz they want many people to use it.
i got an idea though how we can still add each other...
open up a game (like 4v4 on a map nobody plays) we discuss this via xfire. then we all join at the same time, play a game then we can add each other too via contacts, no need for facebook or realfriend crap.
BTW, the new interface when you log on looks really good. The format is 100X better than the old one. Still not sure I like divisions in general, but I guess we shall see. Diamond for now.

OP! I think I'm going to log on soon and give SC2 another try. I gave up for a bit, but I just need to start understanding it.
